Abanotubani and the old town
Domed bathhouses, the mosque, the Legvtakhevi waterfall and the crooked streets around Meidan.

The capital
Old balconies, sulphur baths and a city that stays up late.
Tbilisi spreads along the Mtkvari river between steep hills, with the old town and its wooden balconies at the bottom, Narikala fortress above, and the sulphur baths of Abanotubani that gave the city its name. Rustaveli Avenue, the museums and the wine bars are all within a short drive.
The airport is twenty minutes east of the centre, and most of Georgia is within a day's drive: Kakheti to the east, the Military Road north to Gudauri and Kazbegi, the highway west to Borjomi, Kutaisi and the sea.
